The Post Graduate Course in Commerce(M.Com)was introduced from the session 2003-2004 in this college.From the session 2004-05 the college was granted academic autonomy for P.G. teaching by the University of meant for those who have passed the B.Com(3-year Hons)degree course. The college conducts M.Com Course as per the notification no.CSR/9/05 of the University of Calcutta.An Expert Committee of all full time P.G. faculty members,three persons of eminence, and two representatives of the University of Calcutta supervise,guide and control Post Graduate related academic matters of the college

20 papers of 50 marks each(including 10 marks for Internal Assessment in each paper)

Admission Criteria——————-

A candidate intending to take the M.Com. course must fulfil the following criteria:

  1. Passed B.Com.(3-year Hons.)from any recognised University.
  2. 60% of total seats are reserved for C.U candidates and remaining 40% is open for candidates of C.U. and other Universitied through admission Test.

M.Com Admission procedure generally starts in the month of August i.e. after the declaration of the result of B.Com. Part III examination by the University of Calcutta

Commencement of Classes

The college cinducts the Post-Graduate examination as follows:

  1. M.Com.Part-I Examination at the end of First year-tentatively in the month of August.
  2. M.Com.Part-II Examination at the end of Second year-tentatively in the month of August.

Mark-sheets of the M.Com. examination are issued by the college.Certificate is prepared and issued to the candidates after the endorsement of the Vice Chancellor of the University of Calcutta.
